Lea Schwegler is a multidisciplinary Designer and Art Director currently residing in beautiful British Columbia, Canada with a focus on Branding, Visual Identity systems and Design Strategy working across different disciplines for individuals, businesses and brands on print, web, and motion.

As a passionate person with great imagination, sensitivity and awareness of future trends, she aims to learn about business and people and use her unique problem-solving skills to bring to life holistic and meaningful design solutions. In her design practice, she sees herself as an inter- or transdisciplinary team worker, communicator, and mediator. Core of her work is to involve people in the design process. Co-creation and co-prototyping help to gain empathy, understand diverse perspectives and create conceptual as well as goal-driven design.
Besides creating economic success she thinks designers can be a driving force for innovation, social progress and in minimizing global issues by bringing them down to a tangible level. She uses Future Thinking and Speculative Design methods to illustrate potential scenarios inviting to experience, debate and to impacting different futures.

Lea holds a Master of Arts in ‘Strategic Design’ and a BA of ‘Communication Design’ from Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany) and studied ‘Design for Social Change’ at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver (Canada). Since early 2017 Lea works on the side as an independent designer. In addition, she speaks at diverse events about Cyborg-Centered Design and speculative Cyborg Futures, is part of various exhibitions and leads design workshops at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd, DE.
